Keep the glow
Satin care instructions
Your Bedtime Beautiez pieces are made from 100% premium charmeuse satin — the same silky weave that’s so gentle on hair and skin. A little love keeps that signature shine and softness for many beautiful nights to come. Here’s exactly how to care for your bonnets, robes, and matching sets.
Step 01 — Washing
Wash cool & gentle
Charmeuse satin loves a soft, cool clean. Wash before first wear and refresh between uses to keep it feeling spa-fresh against your skin.
Do
- Machine wash cold on a gentle / delicate cycle.
- Place each piece inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the surface.
- Use a small amount of mild, pH-neutral detergent.
- Prefer hand washing? Soak in cool water, swish gently, and rinse.
Don’t
- Don’t use hot water — heat dulls and shrinks charmeuse satin.
- Don’t mix with zippers, hooks, or rough fabrics that can snag.
- Don’t bleach or use any whitening detergent.
- Don’t use fabric softener — it leaves a film that flattens the shine.
Step 02 — Drying
Air dry, never hot
Heat is satin’s only enemy. Letting your pieces dry naturally protects the fibers and preserves that liquid-smooth drape.
Do
- Hang to dry away from direct sunlight for the best results.
- Tumble dry on low / air-dry only if you’re short on time.
- Lay flat and smooth by hand to keep the drape soft.
Don’t
- Don’t wring or twist — it stretches fibers and causes creasing.
- Don’t use high heat or hot dryer settings.
- Don’t dry in harsh sun, which can fade rich mauve and ink tones.
Step 03 — Ironing
Cool iron, reverse side
Satin rarely needs ironing, but if a crease appears, a gentle cool press on the inside brings it right back to glossy.
Do
- Iron on the coolest / silk setting only.
- Always press on the reverse (inside) of the fabric.
- Place a thin cloth between the iron and satin for extra safety.
Don’t
- Don’t apply a hot iron directly to the right side — it scorches sheen.
- Don’t use steam at high heat or hold the iron in one spot.
- Don’t hang heavy items wet to “drop out” wrinkles unevenly.
Step 04 — Storing
Store it pretty
A few small habits keep your satin looking new in the drawer or on the rail — fresh, fold-soft, and ready for your next beauty-sleep ritual.
- Store fully dry to prevent any musty scent or mildew.
- Fold loosely or hang in a cool, dry drawer or closet.
- Keep out of direct sunlight to protect the dye over time.
- Tuck a sachet nearby — never spray perfume directly on satin.
Why gentle care matters
The tightly woven, satin-faced finish is what makes charmeuse glide over your strands and skin — reducing friction, frizz, and creasing while you sleep. Cool washing and air drying protect that smooth surface, so your bonnet keeps its glossy sheen and your robe keeps its fluid, weightless drape. Treat it kindly, and your Bedtime Beautiez will stay soft, lustrous, and lovely wash after wash.
